Privacy Policy

Wash 4 U ("Wash 4 U," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your personal data when you use our laundry pickup and delivery service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

Information you provide directly:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed).
• Pickup & delivery addresses, apartment numbers, gate codes, and pickup instructions.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. Wash 4 U never sees or stores full card numbers.
• Order details: laundry type, weight estimate, special instructions, photos you upload.
• Customer-service messages, chat transcripts with our AI concierge ("Coral"), and any feedback you submit.

Information collected automatically:

• Device, browser, and operating-system identifiers.
• IP address (approximate location).
• Pages viewed, features used, and timestamps.
• Authentication cookies (httpOnly, secure).

Information collected by our drivers:

• GPS-stamped pickup and delivery photographs.
• Bag-level QR scans at each handling stage.

• To create your account and authenticate logins.
• To schedule, route, fulfill, and bill your orders.
• To send transactional notifications (pickup arriving, order delivered, receipts) by email, SMS, or push notification.
• To improve our service, train our staff, and respond to support requests.
• To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.
• To send marketing communications about new features, promotions, or service updates — only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Stripe — to process payments and issue refunds. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Twilio — to send SMS notifications about your order.
• Google Maps — to route drivers and display addresses.
• OpenAI — to power our AI concierge "Coral." Conversation content is sent to OpenAI under their enterprise data-use policy and is not used to train models.
• Our drivers and laundry facility staff — only the order-specific details required to complete pickup, processing, and delivery.
• Law enforcement or regulators — when legally required (subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety).
• Successors — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity (you will be notified).

To protect both you and our drivers, we capture timestamped, GPS-tagged photographs of every bag at pickup and delivery. These photographs are stored in a secure, encrypted storage bucket and are automatically deleted 30 days after delivery. You may request earlier deletion by emailing privacy@wash4u.com.

• Pickup/delivery photos: 30 days.
• Order and invoice records: 7 years (for tax and accounting compliance).
• Account profile: retained until you request deletion.
• Chatbot transcripts: 12 months.
• Marketing preferences: retained until you opt out.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — update or correct inaccurate information.
• Delete — request deletion of your account and personal data (we may retain records required by law).
• Opt out — of marketing emails or SMS at any time.
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@wash4u.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Florida residents have specific rights under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, and California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). The rights described in Section 7 apply to you. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, password hashing with bcrypt, role-based access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system, however, is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately at security@wash4u.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies — primarily authentication tokens — that keep you signed in and protect against cross-site forgery. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service will not function.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
